Meet our Team

Hilton Taylor
Operations Manager
Hilton has owned & managed Revolution Bikes since 2009. A keen mountain biker, he'd joined the Hawke's Bay Mountain Bike Club about 25 years ago before getting involved in administration with BikeNZ and UCI as a MTB race official. Hilton is passionate about building new MTB trails and makes his own line of trail tools, sold throughout NZ. If he's not at work he'll be riding or building trails around Hawke's Bay.
Billie Sue Taylor
Creative Director
Billie Sue is a life-long bike rider who has been mountain biking since 2000, volunteering as a ride leader in PanPac Eskdale Mountain Bike Park guiding the women's club rides and new riders to learn the forest. After cutting back on mountain biking while raising a young family she spent several years with a baby seat and a basket on the kindy/school commute, and she now finds herself outpaced by all her mountain biking children and has switched to an electric mountain bike to keep up. Still Full Suspension, of course!

Jacob Duff
Lead Mechanic
Meet Jake, Jake's been on the team for 5 years now as our lead mechanic and e-bike technician. With 10+ years of experience there's nothing too big or small he can’t fix. If you want to know about DJ, he is your man with his collection of bikes in the shop. When Jake isn't in the workshop he can be found on the beach with a rod in hand living his best life.

Claire Hanse
Claire joined the team in 2020, being a keen mountain biker she is always dragging her hubby and son off on adventures with bikes around NZ. Claire is a qualified PMBIA MTB instructor (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor's Association) and Mountain Bike guide and active member on the Hawke's Bay Mountain Bike Club Committee being the voice for youth in the club. When she isn't biking she can be found having a cheeky G&T somewhere.

Mark Gilbert
Saturday Bike Mechanic
Mark completed his certificate in bicycle mechanics in the South Island of NZ and has returned to us in Hawke's Bay where we can provide a variety of real life bike shop experiences. A team member since 2020, Mark is a keen MTB'er and trail builder often seen up Te Mata Peak.
